First, I'll share a card I made with Fiskars punches and October Afternoon Weathervane papers.
I don't know how I could live my life without my punches.
I don't want to try.
Which brings me to my blog title.
Problems.
Specifically Rich Girl Problems.
Now, let me first say that our family is not rich by American standards.
Not even close.
But by the standards of the world, we are wealthy beyond belief.
So when my kids (the girls especially because they are old enough to need to understand this) complain about some situation - for example, the dryer isn't finished or we ran out of a favorite cereal or maybe her favorite dance teacher wasn't in class - I'll say, "It sounds like a Rich Girl problem to me."
It's just my way of reminding us all that we are surrounded by excess and privilege and we have SO MUCH compared to most people in the world and hey, let's not complain about little inconveniences, okay?
My kids get it. They do understand. But they still roll their eyes and say, "Moooooooooom...." because I have become so predictable and boring...and I don't think they like being reminded of how selfish we truly tend to be.
{Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God. Matthew 19:24}
i love that. and i plan on using it.
fabulous card. i love my punches, too.
junking soon. promise.

You have given your children such a sweet gift. You know your girls are going to be saying that to their own kids someday! cute

I love your card but better yet, I like the "rich girl problem" answer. I'm going to have to steal it - just like everyone else. hehe!
